Change your payment method

Updated

Cards are managed on the Payment methods tab in Billing. There is no edit option on an existing card, so the way to switch cards is to add the new one, make it the default, then remove the old one.

Steps

  1. Sign in and open Account, then Billing.
  2. Select the Payment methods tab. Your saved cards are listed by brand and last four digits, and the one in use has a Default badge.
  3. Add your new card. Fill in Card number, Expiry month (MM), Expiry year (YYYY), and CVC, then save.
  4. On the new card, select Make default. Your next renewal now uses it.
  5. On the old card, select Remove.

Good to know

  • Card details are tokenized by our payment provider in your browser. Your full card number never reaches our servers.
  • Set the new card as default before removing the old one, so there is always a card on file.
  • Changing your card does not change your plan, your renewal date, or your price.
  • If a payment has already failed, what happens next depends on the email we sent you. If it said we will try again automatically, the next retry uses your new default card and there is nothing more to do.
  • If the email asked you to update your payment method, there is no automatic retry. Add the working card, make it the default, then contact support so we can re-run the charge before your access ends.
  • If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, your payment details are held there, not here.
